Passport to professional development
Dental assistants connected with colleagues and explored a wide range of career options at our recent Expo.
Dental assistants enjoyed a dynamic day of learning on Friday 2 October. The Dental Assistant Lunchtime Development Expo offered the chance to connect with colleagues and discover the diverse range of career options available.
Participants completed a ‘DA Pathways Passport’ to progress through 7 different interactive stations where they discovered career opportunities, learnt from others, and celebrated the vital role that dental assistants play at OHV.

The DAs explored career pathways, learning what steps are required if they want to pursue a career as a leader or manager, and understanding what is required to work to the top of their scope.
We also welcomed two teachers from Kangan Institute who provided advice on Certificate IV in Dental Assisting.
More than 60 dental assistants attended the event and we received great feedback, which will be used for the next DA Expo in November.
