Connect with industry leaders, explore emerging research and ideas, and participate in focussed breakout sessions and expert-led presentations.
Early bird tickets have opened for the Oral Health Victoria Conference 2027, which will bring more than 500 oral health professionals, health leaders, policymakers, academics and industry partners to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 26 February.
The flagship statewide event offers six Continuing Professional Development points and a full day of expert insights, practical discussions, and new perspectives from across Victoria’s oral health sector.
Medical broadcaster Dr Norman Swan will deliver the morning keynote address. A Gold Walkley recipient who trained in medicine and paediatrics, Dr Swan created ABC Radio National's The Health Report and co-hosts ‘What's That Rash?’
The afternoon featured speaker will be Professor Zoe Wainer, inaugural Director-General of the Australian Centre for Disease Control. Professor Wainer previously served as Victoria's Deputy Secretary for Community and Public Health and as Chief Medical Officer at Bupa Australia and New Zealand.
Morning breakout sessions will examine how emerging research informs practice, clinical advancements improve patient outcomes, population oral health programs address inequalities, and dental teams deliver culturally safe, patient-centred care.
Afternoon conversations will focus on strategies to attract, support, and retain the future oral health workforce; initiatives reducing care barriers for people experiencing homelessness; and programs helping families build healthy oral habits.
