It's been a busy time for Smile Squad, with the program recently marking a major expansion across the state.
It's been a big couple of weeks for Smile Squad, with the program marking both a major expansion and another year of continued care in schools across the state.
Expansion to low-fee non-government schools
On Friday 7 August, Smile Squad celebrated an important milestone at Resurrection Primary School in Kings Park, joined by Minister for Health Ingrid Stitt and local MP Luba Grigorovitch. The visit marked the official expansion of the program into low-fee non-government schools, with CEO Susan McKee and Oral Health Advisor Liz Cobbledick on hand for the occasion.
With 54 additional low-fee non-government schools to be invited to join the program from 2027, Smile Squad's reach will continue to build across metro and regional Victoria.
Back again at Alphington Primary School
Two weeks later, the Your Community Health Smile Squad team returned to Alphington Primary School, continuing a partnership that's been going strong every year since 2023.
More schools. More smiles.
Together, these two visits highlight Smile Squad's dual focus: reaching new schools and communities while maintaining the trusted partnerships already in place.
